Please select a 1-km square or squares on the map below to survey – this map will be updated throughout the project to show that this square/s have been taken to avoid duplication of effort. During the second year of the project (in 2016) once we have tried to cover as wide an area as possible, if volunteers are interested and they suspect they may have found a roost in a 1 km square that has already been surveyed, then they may loan the equipment again to investigate this further. Please keep us updated with your plans.
The red numbers are kilometre grid squares that still require surveys to be undertaken in them. The squares with the blue numbers are where surveys have already been undertaken. If you require maps with higher resolution of the area you are interested in just let me know.
After selecting a 1-km square please contact us directly to book a bat detector firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01287 636382.
The survey season runs from mid-April until the beginning of October.
